When I was 14, I was privileged to travel to rural China as a volunteer teacher. I was able to immerse and come into contact with children living in a completely different social setting. Being in contact and sharing my stories with these children in the rural schools I was teaching at carved one of the most memorable moments that have profoundly changed my views and my lifestyle. I continued my volunteer teaching work from ages 14-17 through yearly spring breaks.
What is a healthy lifestyle:
To me, a healthy lifestyle is a balanced lifestyle, from being able to balance school life, social life, and family life, to nutrition balance and sufficient exercise. A healthy lifestyle should reflect a happy “you”.
Which city will be the best place to realize your dream:
San Francisco because it is a city full of opportunities and modern development companies like Uber and Airbnb that have job opportunities that appeal to the younger population.
Among the cities you have ever visited / stayed, which city is the most impressive, Why:
Beijing, China. The city itself has a vast cultural sensation, yet is developing at an accelerating pace. Most importantly, it holds memories of family and childhood to me.

I wish to visit Luxor, Egypt, as it lies on top of an ancient city, Thebes. It is home to countless pharaohs including my favourites, Ramesses III. Luxor contains the cultural destinations that I hope to seek and widen my horizons.

My smile, as it gives the first impression when meeting someone.

I want to further improve myself both in person and on stage, while also wanting to spread a positive and encouraging role model to society.

I want to better myself in time management, as I will be balancing the pageant obligations, dance, school, and family on my plate this term.

To widen my horizons, create another path for myself, and to meet exceptional individuals.
What is the most beautiful object or incident in the world:
After the Japanese earthquake in 2011, a massive tsunami disabled the power supply and the cooling of three nuclear reactors. Officials labeled the area as a heavily contaminated zone. A group of hundreds of Japanese elders volunteered to clean up the radiation, as they want to protect and help the future generation. This beautiful incident really focuses on restoring the faith in humanity and the importance and value of life.
Who is your female role model and why:
Angelina Jolie. As she is not only an extremely successful and talented actress, Jolie’s work in humanitarian aid has made an immense impact to better improve the lives of many impoverished.
Why do you think you will excel at this Pageant and be crowned Miss Chinese Vancouver:
Miss Chinese Vancouver has to be well-rounded and beautiful on both the outside and the inside. I am an extremely hardworking, eager, and capable individual who has excelled in intensive arts training including music, dance, and speech arts.

I will use the title of Miss Chinese Vancouver to create a platform of awareness for children in need around the world to society.
